A Hidden Gem That Deserves to Be Famous! Araki Ramen Japanese Restaurant is hands-down my favorite Japanese spot in Northern Virginia. The moment you step inside, you’re transported to a little slice of Tokyo. Between the glowing red lanterns, cherry blossom décor, and cozy izakaya ambiance, it’s absolutely stunning. You’ll want to take a photo before you even sit down! Now the food — incredible. Their ramen is a warm, soul-hugging bowl of perfection — deeply flavorful broth, springy noodles, and tender slices of pork that melt in your mouth. But don’t stop there — the crab croquettes are golden and crisp on the outside with rich, creamy crab filling inside. Pure comfort food! And if you’re a fan of street food classics, the takoyaki is some of the best I’ve had — crispy on the outside, gooey inside, and topped with just the right touch of bonito flakes and sauce. Absolutely addicting. They also have a great drink selection — I really appreciated the option to have a cold Orion beer, straight from Okinawa. It pairs perfectly with the izakaya-style dishes. What really elevates Araki is the people. The owners and staff are truly wonderful — warm, attentive, and passionate about what they do. You can tell this is a labor of love, and they go out of their way to make sure every guest feels welcome. Whether you’re coming for a casual dinner or looking to impress someone with a special night out, Araki delivers on all fronts: food, atmosphere, and service. I keep bringing friends here and every time, they leave impressed. Highly recommend this local treasure. Araki is doing everything right!

quick service and decent food. no complains on any of the food. the ramen was good and not too salty like many other restaurants i’ve tried. the egg was still jammy and the pork was tender and not too fatty which is always a plus. the sushi was decent. it was fresh and standard but i think i would stick with the ramen at this place. all orders were place on a screen right at the table. not sure if it was just the season changing and they couldn’t determine whether or not to turn on heat or cooling but it was chilly in the restaurant

The sushi here was super fresh and the ramen was very reminiscent of true Japanese flavor. So good that I didn’t have time to take a picture. Vibes were great and the decor was beautiful The servers were attentive and the food came out at a reasonable time. Definitely head by here if you happen to wander in the Centreville area, lunch or dinner, they still have great options.

This is the prefect place for introverts. You’re given a menu when seated and you order on a tablet. The prices were reasonable about $18 for a ramen bowl, $8 for sushi and around $6 for milk tea. The food was very delicious. I recommend the spicy miso soup and to try the Philly sushi rolls. The staff were okay. However, the older gentleman was very kind and attentive. He made sure we were okay. I felt very welcomed and the food was amazing. Will come again.

Nice cozy spot, scenery was really nice and quiet when I stopped by. The food was good and service is quick. You order through a screen which is neat for introverts. The dumplings were fresh and had a crispy outside. I personally had the spicy miso ramen which was overall good but I wished they added 2 pieces of meat rather than just the one. Very flavorful exactly what you’d expect for this type of dish.

I had an amazing experience at Araki Ramen! The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The Spicy Miso Ramen was the star of the meal. It’s super rich, perfectly balanced, and just the right amount of heat without being overwhelming. The broth was deep and savory, the noodles had the perfect chewy texture, and the toppings tied everything together beautifully. We also tried the gyoza dumplings, which were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside and easily some of the best I’ve had anywhere. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the cozy atmosphere made it a great place to relax and enjoy a comforting bowl of ramen. I’ll definitely be coming back. I highly recommend Araki Ramen to anyone craving authentic, flavorful Japanese comfort food!
